Scientists and explorers, keenly searching for strictly defined versions of life on other planets, always miss seeing, or refuse to acknowledge, the broader expressions of life appearing directly before them in the very existence of the planets they look upon.

While fossicking in the dusts of other worlds for signatures of DNA, RNA, proteins and fats, chemical elements, and minerals for cellular function, observers continually fail to notice that the planets they are looking at, in and of themselves, are incredibly ALIVE!

Limiting proof of life to the evidence of specific “markers” already known to contemporary science effectively blinkers us to life altogether.

The very appearance of physical planets in space – and in life – denotes perennial life!

Any planet, star, or other celestial body, whether solid, gaseous, or liquid, is clearly alive, with every such appearance embodying a living cycle – an evolutionary process.

If anything – planetary or otherwise – exists at all, it lives – and is therefore irreducible from Life itself.

The spontaneous arising of life, of every kind of form and appearance, is a complete Mystery. 

Traditional cultures, informed by the Mystery all around them, readily acknowledge this.

But today, we can barely see and feel the life all around us, never mind in faraway spaces.

Life is, quite simply, everywhere – it is everything!

The existence of life is not limited to the interactions, or combinations, of chemicals, substances, or other “markers”, which are but meagre components within the greater manifestation of Life.

Planets are among the many varied phenomena of the same Life that we appear within.

Planets are not just places where life might be found…

They, themselves, are, indeed, alive!
