This entire world is a living being.
Planet Earth is a warm, breathing entity, alive in Divine Mystery.
This is not a heaven world or a utopia.
Like all the forms and beings upon and within it, the Earth itself is changing and passing away, yet always in the fullness of eternal Divine Communion.
So too, for all of life on Earth.
The animals and plants, the rivers, oceans and mountains, all have a life of this kind.
They are contemplatives by nature and design – natural contemplatives, without the heavyweight of conceptual thinking mind.
Humans, also, in our most inherent simplicity, invested in genuine feeling, are natural contemplatives.
But, by and large, we resist our spiritual impulse.
Instead, we dwell in mind and thinking, forgetting our true nature.
This forgetting is the destructive force that is disrupting the world and all creatures here.
This single lesson, fully learned, will remember us to the truth of ourselves and all beings.
Only then, and now, can we heal what we otherwise do to our hearts, and the heart of this world.
